I am a PhD candidate in (social) psychology, and my research broadly focuses on emotions and how they vary across social contexts. Before becoming a PhD candidate, I received a B.S. in Psychology and a B.S. in Statistics from the Ohio State University and an M.A. in Statistics from Yale. I really enjoy using large-scale datasets to better understand complex phenomena (like human behavior), and I have taught mentees and students to do this through my teaching experiences in my graduate and undergraduate training. I am especially passionate about expanding theory by using methodological and analytical techniques that allow researchers to appreciate the inherent complexity of important outcomes. This often takes the form of using dimensionality reduction techniques, fitting multilevel models, and designing informative plots with multiple key predictor variables.
