Our Mission
Yale University Library's StatLab supports all data, computational, and statistical inquiries across the Yale community. Whether you are an undergraduate researcher encountering statistics for the first time or a seasoned faculty member developing a complex multi-level model, we provide quality support at every stage through one-on-one consultations, specialized workshops, and expertly crafted research guides.
We believe that methodological rigor and accessibility go hand in hand. Our goal is to meet researchers where they are and help them move forward with confidence.
What We Offer
- Free one-on-one consultations: bring a dataset, a design question, or a method you want to understand better.
- Research guides: practical, code-first guides covering regression, mixed models, causal inference, and more in R, Python, and Stata.
- Workshops: hands-on instruction in statistical software and methods, open to all Yale affiliates throughout the academic year.
